Beth McGorry has been a part of the St. Mark team since 2014 and has more than 20 years of fundraising experience.
While her roles have changed over the years, her passion for the mission of St. Mark has always been present. She loves working with families and students and helping them give their voice to a community she believes needs to hear from them. You will see Beth at programs, online, and in person, sharing their stories and bringing the community together to support our families and kids.
Beth is one of only a few dozen fundraising professionals in Iowa who hold the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) title. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International, which include their time spent in the nonprofit fundraising field, education, and demonstrated achievements in fundraising. They also have passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.
Beth serves in several community groups that support children and families, like the Dubuque Noon Optimists, Dubuque Morning Optimists, Back to School Bash, and others. She has also been president of the Dubuque Jaycees, Noon Optimists, and Co-Chair for Relay for Life.
Outside of St. Mark, you will see Beth at community functions supporting other nonprofits, family, and friends. She loves traveling hours to see her nephew marching or her niece figure skating. If you checked out her social media, you would see her love of travel and her cat Mo.
