Dawn Cogan has led St. Mark with her heart for the last decade and has always stepped up to new challenges. Although she joined our team in August 2013 as Director of Programs, she was quick to step into an even bigger leadership role as Executive Director just two short months later.

Dawn has more than 30 years of experience in the business, coaching, non-profit, and education fields.

She began her career in accounting & finance at Wm. C. Brown, dabbled in educational sales at Eagle Point Software, worked in office administration and taught in Dubuque Community Schools, co-founded Make It A Great Day! Ultimate Potential Coaching, and worked at Helping Services for Northeast Iowa in substance abuse prevention prior to joining our St. Mark family.


Dawn has a passion for helping others see and be their best selves. She invests in her own and our team's personal and professional development. She is a visionary leader who often references Wayne Gretzky's famous quote, “…we need to skate to where the puck is going!”


Outside of work, Dawn enjoys every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, caring for her mom, and adventures with her husband, Randy. She loves taking long walks, the quiet of an early morning, and consuming everything related to personal development.
