Ask me about Working Genius!
Kaitlin Schmidt has been a part of the St. Mark family since 2014, when she first started as a field placement.
In her early days, she learned much from her mentors, Dawn Cogan & Amanda Avenarius, and fell in love with a team that recognized the “greatness in every kid, family, and community we work with.” She’s been hooked ever since and joined the team “officially” in 2015.
Kaitlin manages strategic grant funding and works on measuring and reporting program outcomes. Over her time, she has played a key role in establishing rigorous evaluation practices within St. Mark, ensuring it can demonstrate outcomes to funders and the larger community to enhance the organization’s resources and provide quality services for area kids and families.
Kaitlin also represents St. Mark in community groups that aim to work toward collective, community impact, such as Every Child Reads/The Dubuque Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and previously My Brother’s Keeper, Inclusive Dubuque, Downtown Neighborhood Association, and others.
Outside of work, Kaitlin loves spending time outside (especially in the fall), playing card games, and rewatching her favorite comfort TV shows for the millionth time with her husband and two children.
